General Enquiries
Our yard is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
No appointment is necessary for general public or trade drop-offs. You can drive straight into our facility during operating hours. For very large industrial deliveries or specialised loads, a quick call ahead is appreciated so we can prepare the yard.
Yes, under Western Australian law, all sellers of scrap metal must provide a valid, current photo ID (such as a Driver’s Licence or Passport) to complete a transaction.
Pricing & Payments
Scrap metal prices are tied to the London Metal Exchange (LME) and fluctuate daily based on global demand and currency exchange rates. We update our prices constantly to ensure you get the most accurate and competitive rate on the day.
We offer immediate payment options including Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) directly into your bank account, which usually clears on the same day. For certain transactions and commercial accounts, other arrangements can be made.
For public drop-offs at our yard, there is no minimum quantity for non-ferrous metals (copper, brass, aluminium). For general steel and iron, very small quantities might not hold monetary value, but we will happily recycle them for you. Minimum volumes do apply for our bin collection services.
Prices are based on purity. If your copper has brass fittings attached, if aluminium is mixed with steel screws, or if materials are heavily contaminated with dirt, paint, or insulation, they will be bought at a lower ‘mixed’ or ‘dirty’ grade price. To get top dollar, always separate and clean your metals before arrival.
Drop-Off Procedures
While we can accept mixed loads, sorting your metals into distinct categories (e.g., copper separate from brass, clean aluminium separate from dirty aluminium) guarantees you receive the highest possible price for each specific grade, rather than a lower average price for a mixed load.
Yes! Our yard staff are always on hand to assist with unloading. We also have forklifts and excavators available for removing heavy items directly from your ute or trailer safely.
All materials are weighed on our regularly calibrated and certified digital scales. Small non-ferrous items are weighed on platform scales, while large loads and ferrous metals are weighed using our drive-on public weighbridge.
Commercial & Bin Hire
We offer a comprehensive range of bins to suit any project. This includes small secure stillages for workshops, standard skip bins (2m³ to 10m³), and large hook-lift bins (up to 30m³) for major demolition sites and industrial clear-outs.
Our bin delivery and collection is generally free of charge, provided the bin is filled with a minimum viable quantity of recyclable metal. Transport fees may apply for remote locations or if bins are returned empty or filled with general rubbish.
Yes, for commercial clients generating consistent scrap metal (like manufacturing plants or large workshops), we can arrange regular swap-outs on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly schedule, ensuring your workspace remains clear.
Prohibited Items
For health, safety, and environmental reasons, we cannot accept:
- General household rubbish or green waste
- Hazardous materials, asbestos, or radioactive items
- Pressurized gas cylinders (unless completely cut in half or de-valved)
- Sealed drums or tanks
- Fridges or air conditioners containing CFCs/Freon gas (must be degassed)
- Live ammunition or explosives
Items such as beer kegs, shopping trolleys, milk crates, and railway tracks are often property of specific companies or government bodies. We will only accept these items if you have written authorization from the owner confirming you have the right to dispose of them.
